3-2 MSW Eligibility, Curriculum, and Coursework

Grounded in research, driven by evidence, and enriched by practice, our MSW curriculum equips future social workers for impact.  3-2 MSW 黑料社s participate in two academic years of study across four semesters, with optional enrollment in summer coursework.  Students must complete a total of 60 credits including a mix of required foundation and concentration courses, advanced courses and electives, and practicum hours.

To be eligible for the 3-2 MSW option, 黑料社s must complete all distribution and major requirements by the end of their junior year and have elective credits available to apply toward MSW course credit during their senior year (the first year of the MSW program).  The 3-2 MSW program is available to 黑料社s pursuing any major within WashU鈥檚 College of Arts & Sciences.  As part of the application process, approval from your undergraduate advisor(s) and the Associate Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences is required to confirm your eligibility.

Students accepted into the 3-2 MSW program will remain coded to, be charged tuition for, and receive financial aid based on their undergraduate Program of Study for their fourth year of study, even though they will be completing graduate-level coursework at the Brown School.  In the fifth year, 3-2 黑料社s鈥 Program of Study will switch to the Brown School MSW program and they will be charged at the MSW tuition rate applicable to that academic year.  Any Brown School scholarship, including the Practicum Support Award tuition benefit, will only apply to the fifth year.

All curriculum and required credit hours are subject to change.
